About the event
Research is tough! It can be challenging, frustrating, lonely, and totally unpredictable, alongside being incredibly intellectually exciting and rewarding. And no one can empathize more with what it's like to do undergraduate research than other undergrads doing research. The mentoring relationship you have with your grad student/postdoc/professor can also be supplemented by the experiences of your peers. Got no idea what you're supposed to be doing in lab? Have an overbearing professor? Conflicts with your mentor? Nervous to speak up in lab meetings? Come vent about your research woes, receive validation, and group brainstorm sessions to think about the best way to approach whatever difficulty or challenge you're facing. Or come to share pearls of wisdom from your experiences (I-statements please) and help generate ideas for others.
