95% Cacao …. 100% delicious

On a sunny Sunday morning, HSURV fellows toured the TAZA chocolate factory in Somerville to investigate the research question: is there such a thing as too much chocolate? The answer...MAYBE 😅. We sampled everything from chili chocolate to espresso chocolate to raspberry chocolate with puffed quinoa while learning about the process of going from a cacao pod to a chocolate bar. TAZA chocolate has a unique gritty texture because it is also dairy-free, and has a much higher cacao content than something like Hershey's...which barely meets the federal minimum for cacao in chocolate. All and all a successful trip...lunch was definitely not necessary afterwards!
