A Starry night (ft. bugs)

Updated: Aug 8, 2019

Last Friday, some brave souls embarked on their journey to Charlestown, Rhode Island to look at stars and eat smores. In addition, the research villagers seemed to be very tasty snacks for mosquitos and just the general bug population.

At the Frosty Drew Observatory, located in the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge, we saw some cool pictures of the first moon landing and talked to some astronomers and volunteers. Although the sky was hazy and we could not see much, the sunset was so pretty it more than made up for it.

Some people even got their own talk show started while we waited for the bus to come pick us up (ahem Shivi and company). We additionally got to try vegan marshmallows and vegan chocolate. While I have no words for the chocolate (do not try it if you value your taste buds), the marshmallows were good.
